1. Have puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of purchase.

2. Provide puppy with routine preventive care, such as, but not limited to:

** Annual physical examinations by a licensed veterinarian.

** Follow veterinarian guidelines for vaccinations and deworming.

** Pup must be given a flea and tick medication, as well as a heartworm

preventative, such as heartgard.

IF ALL SHOTS, DEWORMINGS, AND PREVENTATIVES ARE NOT GIVEN, THIS CONTRACT WILL BE VOID. ALL RECORDS MUST BE KEPT AND BE PROVEN BY A LICENSED VET.

Health Guarantee: ONE YEAR HEALTH: TWO YEAR HIP/ELBOW

1. This puppy is guaranteed until he or she is twelve months of age, against fatal and life altering congenital diseases, which adversely affects the health of the animal. If the dog dies within this years time frame, the Buyer will pay to have it autopsied to ascertain reason. If the reason is congenital, the Seller will replace the puppy.

NOTE: This does include hip dysplasia . This German Shepherd cannot be certified for hips and elbows until two years of age (NO EARLIER). The OFA certification must be done on his/ her 2nd birthday, or within one month of it, otherwise this guarantee is void. I understand that the Seller has done all that he /she can do to prevent passing on a problem with hip dysplasia, but there are no guarantees that my pup will not get it. I understand that in some cases, even when both parents OFA excellent, their offspring can still OFA poorly. I understand this and do accept this risk, just as the Seller has had to do. I understand that if I should have a dog that OFA’s poorly, the responsible thing to do is to end the line and stop the breeding for the sake of the German Shepherd Breed, and the health of the animal. The Buyer should not OFA certify until the age of two years old. This is because your pups bones and joints are constantly changing and you will not get a accurate diagnosis until this age. It will be a waste of time and money. This guarantee does not at all imply that the Seller will pay for X-rays or medical bills at any point along the way. The only guarantee that will be given is that after the age of 24 months, no earlier, a replacement puppy will be given, of equal value, as available, in the event that your pup has hip dysplasia . In the event that your pup has hip dysplasia , you may keep your pup, being as you are probably attached by then, or you may bring it back to me, and I will find a place for him/her. In the case of a female, she must not have been bred prior to OFA submission, because this will effect all results and void this guarantee. Any surgery or alteration to the pups hips will void this guarantee. Confirmation of hip dysplasia will be required.

2. All items covered under this guarantee are by replacement only.

3. I, do / do not guarantee that this dog is sexually intact for breeding purposes.

4. Ears on German Shepherd pups are not covered in this guarantee because of many reasons. They can be damaged very easily when they are pups by owners who massage, or by other animals who pull on them, not to mention small children that mishandle the ears. However, there have been no problems at all in any of my lines.

5. Seller will not be responsible for any medical expenses incurred. Buyer is aware that owning a puppy means trips to the veterinarian and understands that he/she will be responsible for all payments.

Buyer also understands that Seller cannot be held responsible for any kind of accidental death from any contagious diseases, accidents, or other problems contracted outside of my immediate and direct control.

6. As of the date of delivery, the puppy has received proper vaccinations and dewormings. The buyer has been informed of these and of future needed appointments.

7. A puppy showing any serious genetic or congenital defect will be replaced as follows:

Animal must show the genetic or congenital defect by twelve months of age . Seller must be notified of the problem within 2 business days of the licensed veterinarian’s determination and have two reports from two unassociated veterinarians stating the same problem and Seller will provide a replacement puppy of equivalent value, as available.

· A puppy with a defect must be returned or euthanized with the prior permission of the seller to qualify for a replacement puppy.

· No refund, in part or in full, will be given.

8. A returned puppy must be returned to the seller in good condition, other than the specified problem, at the buyer’s expense. The owner will then qualify for a replacement puppy.

9. Buyer is responsible for transportation costs to and from the seller on a replacement puppy.

10. This guarantee applies to the original puppy owner only and is nontransferable to a second party.

11. No replacement puppy will be given if the puppy has been bred, spayed, neutered, or euthanized without seller’s permission.

12. Replacement puppy will be mutually agreed upon by both parties and will be of comparable quality. It is understood that the replacement puppy may not be from the exact same parents of original puppy.

13. Any physical problem which is or could be the result of injury is not covered under this guarantee.

14. There is no guarantee or warranty that the Buyer will be able to show or breed the puppy regardless of show or breeding potentials.

15. This contract is null and void if the terms and conditions are not fulfilled.

16. Buyer agrees that he/she understands this contract fully.

Puppy will be shipped between eight and ten weeks of age. Most will be shipped at eight weeks old, but some need a little more time and will be shipped later.
